Bi Village reviews
Bi Village campsite, Pula, Croatia
The Darcy Couple | August 2025
After years of exploring the Italian coast, we decided to hop across the Adriatic to Bi Village in Istria. While it’s technically in Croatia, the influence of nearby Italy is everywhere—from the language to the incredible wood-fired pizzas—making it the perfect "best of both worlds" escape for us.
What we love about holiday parks like this is the lack of a schedule. At Bi Village, we traded the "hotel breakfast window" for long, lazy mornings on our deck with fresh pastries from the on-site bakery.
The park is huge but beautifully shaded by pine trees. We spent our afternoons strolling along the 800m pebble beach, which looks out over the stunning Brijuni Islands.
Every evening, we took the 15-minute coastal walk into the charming fishing village of Fažana. It's the perfect spot for a glass of local Malvasia wine and some fresh seafood by the harbour, it felt just like our favorite spots in Puglia or Tuscany.
While there are plenty of families around, the three large pools are spaced out enough that we could find a quiet corner to soak up the sun. The poolside bars are great for a cheeky midday Spritz!
We're not the type to sit still for long. We rented bikes and cycled the coastal path toward Pula (about 8km away). Seeing the Roman Amphitheatre was a highlight—it’s like having a slice of Rome just a short ride from your front door.
The Sunset Bar on-site really lives up to its name. Watching the sun dip behind the islands with a cocktail in hand was our favorite way to end the day.
A Few Tips for Couples
- Accommodation Choice: If you want a bit more romance, look for the "Lodge Deluxe" or units closer to the sea. They offer a bit more privacy and that incredible Adriatic breeze.
- Beach Shoes are Essential: Like most of this coastline, the beach is pebbly. Do yourself a favor and buy a pair of swim shoes at the park shop so you can get into that crystal-clear water comfortably.
- Dining Out: While the on-site restaurants are handy, the real magic is in the local Konobas (taverns) in Fažana. The quality and value there are exceptional.
If you love the laid-back, outdoor lifestyle of Italian parks but want to see a different side of the Adriatic, Bi Village is a gem. It’s got all the facilities you need without losing that authentic Mediterranean charm.
