We wanted a mix of outdoor adventure and relaxation, and Les Alicourts delivered. It's set deep in the Loire Valley forest, making it feel like a true escape from the "real world."
Our 8-year-old lived in the wave pool and on the waterslides, while our 5-year-old preferred the private lake beach. The lake is shallow and warm, perfect for kids who find big pool complexes a bit overwhelming.
From the kids' clubs to pedal karts and the massive playground, there was never a "we're bored" moment. The park itself is peaceful and safe. We let the kids scoot ahead of us to the bakery every morning—a small dose of independence they absolutely loved.
We booked this trip through Suncamp who promise the same price as booking directly with the campsite, so you don't pay a premium for using an agent. We found they tend to be considerably cheaper than the likes of Eurocamp and Siblu holidays, who we have holidayed with previously at other French parks, and their accommodation is as modern with good space for families.
Note: If you are booking a second trip you get a discount of €100 on through the loyalty program and the app holds all info together making it much easier than digging through emails at the check-in gate.
In summary Alicourts was an immaculate, five-star park that keeps kids active and parents relaxed. Just don't forget the mosquito spray for the forest evenings!

Wonderful activities and facilities, fabulous surroundings, definitely need a car due to location.

My family and I had a brilliant time at Alicourts. Not our first camping holiday but it was the first time we travelled by car taking the eurotunnel which was superquick. We stayed in a 3 bed Thomson Al Fresco mobile home which was very clean and spacious with a large decking area outside where we enjoyed plenty of evening meals. The holiday reps are very polite and was on hand when we needed help or advice for days out.
My partner loved the new relaxation center, as did I. Be warned that the centre is extra and priced per day, or you can pay for a block booking. We just paid for 3 days whilst the kids took part in the Thomson club activities. I also enjoyed the pools and playing water tick with the kids, they especially enjoyed the forest games too. Think the disco's start in high season which we just missed out on. A bit of a disapointment but the kids made loads of friends and still had plenty to do at night time.
The campsite shop was more expensive than the local supermarket with less options so if you have a car then the travel for a big bulk buy as it's worth it. Overall a great holiday with plenty of modern activities mixed with outdoor adventure sports, great for all ages!

Great campsite in a really pretty area, and there's a nice lake by the beach. Campsite was clean and the staff were helpful. We would definitely recommend hiring a car when you are here, as most of the places of interest are not easy to get to from the site.
We went on lots of nice walks around the campsite, and spent a lot of time by the pool (although be warned - the water was really cold). There is a basic shop on site, but this was a bit pricey, so I would recommend the Intermarche which is around a 15 minute drive away.

Nice campsite that seems to be well cared for by the owners. The Keycamp reps were friendly and were always easily reached if we had a problem. Campsite has the usual pool, football pitch, table tennis, playground etc. There is also a small shop and a restaurant, both of which we thought were slightly over priced. Evening entertainment is a disco.
