Cypsela reviews
Cypsela campsite address: Rodors, 7, 17256 Pals, Province of Girona, Spain
We visited as a family of four (our seond trip with our toddlers aged 3 and 4). The site is nestled in a dense pine forest, this 5-star resort is fantastic for families with toddlers who need a bit of shade and plenty of gentle water fun.
The Pirate Ship was the absolute star for our kids. One of the pools features a large pirate ship with small slides and water cannons that kept them busy for hours in a safe, shallow environment.
Unlike some massive resorts, the site is mostly flat and easy to navigate with a double stroller. There is also a great playground and a dedicated "Cypsy Club" for creative play.
The pine trees are a lifesaver. Even in the peak Spanish heat, our deck stayed cool enough for the kids to have their afternoon naps outside.
The beach is about 2km away (a bit far for little legs to walk), but the free shuttle bus runs regularly and drops you right at Playa de Pals.
It is a large campsite. If you are placed at the far edges, it can be a 10-minute walk to the bakery or the main pool—worth requesting a central spot if you have toddlers.
The supermarket is excellent and stocks everything (even British brands), but it is pricier than the large Lidl or Carrefour just a 10-minute drive away.

A top-tier choice for families with young children. The combination of the pirate pool, the forest shade, and the easy beach access makes for a very low-stress holiday.
Nearby we visited Medieval Village of Pals, a stunning hilltop village. It’s car-free and perfect for a slow wander with the kids to get some local gelato.
Within walking distance is Costa Brava Parc Aventura, located just outside the site entrance. It has a "Petit de Bosc" course specifically for children aged 3–6 to try low-level zip lining.
L'Estartit & Medes Islands is 15 mins drive and from the harbor, you can take a glass-bottom boat to see the fish at the marine reserve, a lovely part of the trip that the kids didn't stop talking about!

Just back from a week at Cypsela campsite, this was our forth holiday with eurocamp, and once again we were not disappointed. The large static caravan we stayed in was spotless and well equipped, the eurocamp couriers were always friendly and helpful, and the free kids clubs they had everyday were excellent and varied. The pool on the campsite was clean and lots of fun, the kids loved the diving boards. The whole campsite was well maintained and cleaned daily, including the areas around the pitches.
We will definitely be going on eurocamp holiday next year, not sure we would visit this campsite again as we like to try different places, but it’s definitely on our recommendation list. ![]()
Tons of sports activities, two nice large pools with a permanent lifeguard, campsite is surrounded by tree’s near the static caravans tent areas so they don’t get unbearably stuffy in the hot sun. Security patrol the site in the evening so it is kept quiet and safe, the restaurant had specials every day at set prices of €10 before 8pm or €12 after. The menu included 3 choices of starters, 3 mains, 3 deserts and drinks. The campsite is only one hours drive away from Gerona airport, we took a taxi which ended up £65 after a little haggling with the lingo. We planned day trips to Barcelona and Port Aventura through the travelling via the local train station. Only negative I would say is that there are lots of flying bugs at night, wouldn’t bother with the fly catchers from the shop as you’ll never catch them all, using the window meshes in the caravans is sufficient enough. ![]()
We stayed here in June. It’s a very large campsite but it was always clean and tidy. The main pool is huge and there are loads of areas around the pool for sunbathing. If you like to play tennis, make sure you book the court early, as it was very popular when we were there. The campsite has a good restaurant and the take away has excellent pizza. The Rotisseria Can Padres just outside the campsite near the roundabout does a really good roast chicken. The campsite has it’s own shop, which has a good selection, however you will get better for money at the local supermarket. ![]()
